I agree with your opinion- Pune city is too busy to go around for tourists. Full of two wheeler traffic and honking, noisy narrow roads. Going out of city places would be better experience. Pune is controlled by City corporation. People are elected into this corporation are dis-honest and full of corruption. They take bribe money and allow illegal constructions, often taking away space of the road. As a result lots of apartment buildings and no space left for roads!! The city and people are still very hospitable. You should never negotiate with an auto (tuktuk) fellow. Either ask to go by meter and book an OLA/Uber. You can book tuktuk also on OLA/Uber. You should have been to some local art/culture program. That would be a different experience. BTW, you visited Pune during Ganesh festival. Despite this, Pune's residents are generally supportive and willing to assist in such situations. Additionally, apps like Uber and Ola are available in most Indian cities, and I encourage using them for safer travel. Local delicacies like Puran Poli, Misal Pav, and Bhakri are worth trying. You’ll also find high-end restaurants and street food, catering to different palates. Well-Connected to Major Tourist Destinations Pune is conveniently located close to popular tourist spots like Mumbai, Goa, and Aurangabad (home to Ajanta and Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site). This makes it an excellent starting point for exploring other regions of India. Shopping and Markets Pune has various shopping options, from modern malls to traditional bazaars. Pune offers a harmonious mix of tradition and modernity, making it a pleasant and enriching experience for international travelers.

To make it it difficult to unite against british. This was helpful in british policy of creating confusion and divide amongst kings and Indian society to delay Indian response to british colonization. and To destroy proofs of good governance of Peshwa and good historical standing of Marathas.. making it easy for Indians to pick british lines and practices !

I am from Pune. A Marathi speaking person. There are some Rikshawalas(tuktuk) who are very rude and try to over charge. In Pune or Mumbai always ask them to use meter. Dont fix any price. Uber or Ola are always better option. You can book tuktuk from these app too. There are few idiots there too. So check their rating. I generally cancel low rated ones generally below 4.6 I think your hotel was near Bund Garden area from the map shown. There is direct metro available from Agakhan Palace to Bund Garden. Its hardly 2-3 stops and 5 min travel time. Sinhagad is better to visit on non rainy day. Trek is also good there. At last I hope you enjoyed Pune's traffic😂 According to a recent survey, its 2nd worst in India after Bangaluru.

You should have shot a video of the altercation that you had with the Rickshaw driver and posted it on KZbin. That way, he would have got exposed. And believe me, but some times, authorities do take Suo moto notice of such incidents of harassments of tourists & foreign nationals and punish the culprits. More over, it is not JUST about punishing the person but, a stitch in time will dissuade him and other cons like him from harassing foreign tourists who visit. So, yes it is very unfortunate that such an incident occurred with you guys. And such things shouldn't happen in the first place to good visitors like you. The only thing you missed was that, you should have shot a video. I think, he would have got scared of doing those things on camera coz, it would have left evidence of his misbehavior plus, his face would then be seen by millions on KZbin, including the authorities.
@CharlottemihellАй бұрын
@@KartikKumar-hc5iz I agree I should have recorded it and got his number plate etc but at the time I was caught off guard and didn’t think about those things. It doesnt happened to ya because ur tourist smh, it happened to me few times as well. I am marathi itself and lives in pune. They gives you fair prices and it's good for safety as well.

Hello, I felt bad for your experience, and I can also relate to that. When I first came to Pune, an auto driver told me he would take me to my destination for ₹200. But when we reached there, he asked for ₹500. Pune auto drivers can be really sneaky. Also, if anyone is reading this, don't use rickshaws in Pune. If you need to go somewhere, use Rapido-it's cheaper and better.

It is better to be safe than sorry for lifetime.

Some local Marathi speaking auto drivers are also looking for easy money. You and I are not alone, there are many like us. I am sorry you had to experience that. If you ever happen to visit again, better use an app like Ola/Uber, even to book an auto rickshaw.

Ashamed as an Indian about what that lunatic tuk tuk guy done to you. Actually the thing is that never ever take ride of cabs and tuk tuk without booking ( can use OLA or UBER app) because these tuktuk driver may had interpreted you as a foreigner and you know that it is easy to deceive a newcomer in India. As a society, some of Indian lacks basic civic sense which actually result in women safety issue in some areas of India. I am writing you just to tell the actual ground reality of India so that you can be just little alert while enjoying the places. It is easy to caught criminals doing crimes in India but providing justice to the victims is the main issue. Our judicial system sucks, i.e. why these criminals gets confidence to do these criminal activities again. But it doesn't mean that you will face these issue at every street. Just be alert and explore & enjoy your trip. I am glad that you raise that issue in your video. "Every Sinner Has A Future": This was said by our Supreme Court (which is the supreme place for justice) to Commutes Death Sentence Imposed On Man For Rape & Murder Of 4 Year Old Girl. So, I really doesn't have full faith in our Judiciary. In the end make lots of memories as much you can🤗🥰
