Usually, normal filipino family mostly gives gifts only by The Christmas Day (Dec.25). And those who can afford meaning with plenty of money can give gifts on New Year’s day (January 1) and those who have more plenty of money the giving gifts extended until January 6. So it depends actually on the family’s income.
@wilfredomendoza849511 ай бұрын
It’s okay when you feel hungry you can eat anytime you want. The Noche Buena eating time is normally just for those who are only awake or to those who following the traditions. But to the normal family meaning those who really cannot afford to have so much food, being awake at 12 midnight is already a blessing.

In the Philippines, Epiphany is known as "Three Kings' Day" and Pasko ng Matatanda ("Feast of the Elderly"), and marks the official close of the country's Christmas season. As a day of feasting, some Filipinos celebrate with gift-giving and greet each other "Happy Three Kings! In the Dominican Republic, the Día de los Tres Reyes Magos (The day of the Three Royal Magi) and in this day children receive gifts on the christmas tree in a similar fashion to Christmas day. On this day public areas are very active with children accompanied by their parents trying out their new toys.

I’m glad you got to experience Noche Buena in the Philippines. Cheers to Gab for the preparation and invitation. That’s so kind! In my family, Noche Buena is the whole night on the 24th, not just late to midnight. As soon as the sun goes down, we start feasting right away (which is around 5pm). I don’t know if that’s more of a western influence (since we live in Canada) or if my family is just impatient to start eating LOL 😂 I don’t think I could wait until 10pm to eat.

Graham doesn't need to be baked because the crackers or biscuits are bought ready-made. You will just arrange them in alternating layers along with the ripe mangoes, condensed milk, and whipped cream, then topped with crushed graham. That's a wonderful Noche Buena, ladies❤️😉👍

Actually, christmas is celebrated basically with the local tradition. Then the difference in each household is that it could either have the added influence of the American tradition, or the Spanish, or the CHINESE, or a mix of 2, or all 3, but usually done in the Filipino way.

Merry Chritstmas Sol and Luna! I'm glad you had a family to celebrate it with. when I was younger, our parents would make us sleep early and wake us up before 12am , we would eat noche buena then open gifts and get our socks which were hanged by the window a few weeks before christmas. But later on they changed it because us kids were really sleepy we could not eat. We had games and dinner earlier then open our gifts at 12 am.
