Not really cost friendly anymore, i would say without a power-currency such as UAE USD GBP etc... its very difficult for locals, its not cheap or affordable as many many foreigners put it - Even if u dont live a lifestyle of a foreigner, its not so affordable. Many places are over priced in my opinion.

@hajtomjones40772 жыл бұрын
@@ernestdmenace3200 this is because of politics. Iloilo tends to go for progressive politicians and policies which are counter to traditional politicians that are focused on rent seeking policies for corruption. The city was attacked by the previous administration for not supporting their drug war to name a few. Progressive national candidates usually always wins in Iloilo. Sadly these progressives find it hard to win.

I used to not like malls but I appreciate them now. It’s the convenience of finding things in one place and in a way serves as entertainment value when shopping around and discovering things. So many franchise from local and abroad that anywhere you go in places where there is a mall outside Manila is almost as good as. The malls also bring people together meeting friends there and eating out or just walk around or watch a film or play in the arcade.

My wife is convinced that the Noname store is being mispronounced (by me too). She thinks the Japanese pronunciation is No-naa-me. The AllHome portion of the mall has been around for a few years (prepandemic) but construction halted. The furniture, home decorations, construction items (tiles, etc), as well as the upstairs portion (including the theater space), and the grocery are the original stores. The portion of the mall you filmed initially (including Noname) are indeed very recently opened. It is a high-end mall (meaning more expensive), but quite attractive and with some good, quality items.

It's interested to see that malls are still thriving there. Most of the ones here have become like ghost towns; just empty shells where stores once were. Amazon has destroyed them in the same way the red box and Netflix killed the movie rental business.

We have a lots of modern malls in the Philippines. Our malls do not just focus on items like gadget,clothes, restaurants, furniture etc. You can find almost what u need in our malls like beauty clinics,gyms,an opd clinic, dental clinic, spa and massage, veterinary, all kinds of entertainment likes rides, bowling center, ice skating area, massive supermarkets, pharmacies and a lot more. Besides thats, they provide a nice outdoor area like parks where you can just sit and relax. Thats why I guess, malls here in Philippines are thriving well.😊

@@cutiebellacat4720 that diversity is probably a key factor. When I lived there I would go to the mall frequently just to only go to the grocery store. That sort of thing doesn't exist here.
