Diagnosing you water supply problems should start from the point of entry to the property and proceed systematically in a chain from entry to exit at the shower heads. A narrow gauge main supply line, at low pressure will only allow a small flow. The pump in the back yard sounded like it was cavitating. This means the pump has a lot of air in the impeller (the blades which propel the water) housing. This is why it took hours instead of minutes to refill the water storage tanks. The small tank on the ground next to the pump should have a flexible diaphragm in it which is pressurized with air and acts to pressurize the water in the tank. If the diaphragm has failed, or the air portion of the tank has a leak, then the pumping system won't work properly. The elevated storage tanks should be checked for debris and blockages. If I househunt in Philippines I have a few boxes to check before closing the deal. Waterpressure, garbage burning in neighborhood, fighting cocks noise, barking dogs, brown out frequencies, neighbors with karaoke for example. Just to avoid surprises.

That elevated blue water containers are using normal gravity as pressure to distribute into the piping system. The water pump was there just to fill it up and no water pressure for the showers unfortunately.

You need to add a small pump between the full tank to into the house the water tanks look gravity fed into the house so you will never get gud pressure unless you get a pump gud luck finding trust worth knowledgeable people to do the work!

Your tanks are not high enough for any decent pressure say for showers, what you can do is put in a ball valve to shut off the water to the tank and run the shower (and washing machine if you have one) direct from the pressure tank, our blue pipe handles 30 psi fine here in Miagao, when your finished you switch back to gravity tank

For the water pressure, if there's like an outlet pipe that gets water out directly under the tank you should open it for a few seconds. I think what happened here is there's air in the pipes and it will come out if you do this. When the water comes out from this you'll see that at first there's a lot of air with it then once it's all water you can close that pipe. We have something like that back home and this happens all the time.

This is also the case in our house, you need to open the main faucet line or else the pressure is too low because of the trapped air in the pipe lines.

If memory correct for every foot tank higher than shower you gain 2.2 lbs of pressure!

Bucket baths with a giant ladle is mostly used here. Get the bucket full before you start and the cool water will feel great. No need for hot water.

Make sure your wiring can handle the hotwater heater check how many amps it draws from your main breaker. You will also need a breaker at the hotwater heater. They draw alot of amps that could overload your system.

The holding tank is a little higher than the 2nd floor, so water pressure on that level will be very low. You need pressure tank with a pump put on the scaffolding next to the water tank. Balibago has good water pressure. As far as i understand Balibago is the municipal water feed. During the day its weak and at night its strong. During heavy rains it is weak also unsure why.

Your AC in my opinion is not enough to your room, since 1/2 hp aircon can only cool an area of about 10 square meters, just check the measurement of your room to be cooled. Under design the aircon will run always at maximum load, and over design will also result of higher energy consumption.

Oh that water pump is so dangerouse. Could atleast bend the corner for it might slice you. If you want to increase water pressure, better ask the home owner to provide a pressure tank. My house has the same problem, i think they used a PPR pipe installed by inexperienced plumber. Pressurize tank is all you need.

It's sad to see that there's a lot more money you have to spend on the plumbing there. I hope they'll give you a reduction in rent because of that. So far everything looks like it's going alright except for the plumbing. The air conditioners you bought was definitely a good price. The problem usually arises when the plumbing system line haven't used for a longer period of time, the pipe were leaking in high pressure test that's a big problem because the pipes are already underneath the wall. Hope there's no leak will come out if pressurize water are on way.

For more pressure, you need a bigger tank. Those tanks are too small. Think of how much weight those small tanks are pushing on the water, which creates water pressure. Hope that helps.

You don't need a bigger tank to get the highest pressure, water pressure is base on the height of a water, even 2000 liters tank with the height of 20 meters is the same as 1 liters bottle with the height of 20 meters.

Shame you have to experience this water issue too on your first few days in Iloilo. I had it as well when i was there. Had to wake up 2am so i could manually pump in water into the house. Normal experience, in certain months of the year if one has no electric water pump at home in Iloilo. Since you have a pressure tank used it directly to your system and don't used the overhead tank, if you want pressurize water inside your house, don't used overhead tank it's a useless design, all high rise building now didn't used that design anymore, just use your pressure tank and problem solve, abandon the overhead tank it will cost your electricity bill higher that kind of design, your pump will run always at maximum load. Maximum load equals more power and power is always proportional to higher bill.
