Is baseball that hard to understand. If you continously miss three legal pitches you are striked out and if you hit the ball out of park it's a home run. If you hit the ball you can run to the next base and if the man at the base touches you with the ball then you are out. I got all this by watching one video of Angels vs Athletics the other day, that's the first baseball game I've watched.

We tend to laugh at all sports because they are not something that we typically are interested in - so we are laughing at ourselves in those moments. The "sticks" are the stumps and the three of them with the small bails resting on top are the wickets. If the bowler hits the stumps and the bails come off the batsman is out; his innings is over and a new batsman replaces him until the batting side run out of batsmen.

Yes baseball owes a lot to Cricket which predates baseball by a very long time. In fact the distance between the pitching mound and home plate is modelled on the length of a cricket pitch and was done so by Abner Doubleday when he was considering what a fair distance was to deliver the ball to the batter.

This is not like baseball. This is the toughest sport. If mistakenly the ball hit in any fatal part of your body. You will be dead. Some players are no more between us including a great emerging Australian batsman. And this was a test cricket match. Test cricket is called boring. T-20 and one day matches are very interesting to watch.

If the bowler hits the "three sticks" aka the wicket comprising three stumps and two bails, the batsman is OUT, he has to walk off and is replaced by a ream mate unless he is the last batsman, in which case the innings is over.

The instructions you were reading were unintelligible nonsense! Watch a "how to play cricket" video. The Ninh Ly is a decent one. The wickets are the three stumps and two bails at each end of the 22-yard pitch. Four feet in front of each wicket is a white line; the batting crease and the batsmen have to run to the batting crease at the opposite end to score one run.
