I wondered the same thing but I found out that samsung addressed the issue and now all new 990 pros have the latest firmware so if you bought it sometime this year you should be good

So it doesnt need its own DRAM chip because it uses the PS5 systems DRAM? This is the first of heard of this, a lot of reviewers criticise this one because it doesnt have DRAM, its interesting that they overlooked this or maybe they didnt know that having its own DRAM chip isnt necassary.
