Fantastic video John. Gyeon has many amazing products that i have loved over the years. I will be trying their Cancoat Evo in a month or so, excited to see the results.

Love Gyeon! You hit the nail on the head at the end re all of their products being top draw and then having a wide range for whatever you need. I’m looking forward to hearing about the new products coming by up. 👍

One thing I've always liked with Gyeon is they have their branding absolutely spot on, all the products look so good on the shelf.

Gyeon iron wheel cleaner IMO is the best in the game! I've tried many, I really don't need a super strong one like Adam's wheel and tyre. Gyeon has the perfect balance of lubricity, cleaning surfactants and the iron helps remove hot brake particles then have stuck on the clear coat. I never let my wheels turn into baked brake dust disaster. I bet it would clean disaster wheels with a decent amount. Gyeon are definitely improving with their revision.

Its a good product but not very cost effective.... I use prob 1/2 bottle each clean so thats like $15 aud to do my wheels

Can use the Gyeon APC for maintenance and tiny spritz of Gyeon iron afterwards if on budget. The fr wheel cleaners are more expensive option fur sure.
@79blustone2 ай бұрын
@michaelmarchei8539 Wow I'm using a 1 litre bottle on my own car about every 6 months, keep them clean regularly to stop build up, pressure wash first, a few spritzes in the barrel of the wheel and a few on the face. EZ wheel brushes to break it all up, soft wheel it for the faces and blast off with the washer. APC on the tyres easy.

Carpro Wheel X (new product) is supposed to be very good. My favourite is Armour Detail Supply Wheel Cleaner (smells amazing, even though it contains has iron remover). Koch Chemie MWC is also a firm favourite but it smells horrible. After rinsing the chosen Wheel Cleaner off, I follow up with a snow foam & bucket contact wash using P&S Brake Buster.

that new wheel cleaner reacted rather quick m8, i'll give it a try next, even though i've great experience with koch magic, soft99 kamitore and sonax beast, if this can beat them, then it'll be my new go to wheel cleaner.

My last order was placed upside down on my porch which caused some of the products to leak some through the spray tops. To be fair, gyeon packed my order with ample bubble wrap all the way around. Regardless of this, seems a little like a design flaw. Still love gyeons products, cannot go wrong with anything from them. Just finished syncro Evo on my subie and I cannot wait for the first wash.

Interesting yer I think maybe these new bottle seal might help with that

Could you please review 3pH cleaning solutions (Koch Chemie, Labocosmetica, Bilt, Carpro...) on ceramic coatings? I'm curious to learn whether I should first prewash with alkaline or acidic based solution. Maybe the decision should be based on state of the vehicle (water spots vs. regular dirt)....
@LSD042 ай бұрын
Alkaline first
@zustroy2 ай бұрын
@@LSD04 That's what they keep saying, others say it should be acidic to descale first...
@KonstanTribbetts2 ай бұрын
As standard, pH neutral, like Koch Chemie GSF, maybe some citrus cleaner on the bottom quarter of the car. Dirty, alkaline, like Bilt Hamber Touch-Less. Once every 3-6 months with acidic, like CarPro Descale, depends on how much the car is kept out in the rain etc or if you see the quality of the beading dropping off.
@LSD042 ай бұрын
@@zustroy water spots/minerals sit under the dirt, not on top, so this needs cleaning first. Labocosmetica have plenty of good videos you can watch.

Thanks Jon. Can’t fault Gyeon products. I’m a bit confused about the fallout wheel cleaners. How can they be Ph neutral if the active ingredient is an Acid?
@ForensicDetailing2 ай бұрын
They are blends mate so pH is really a sliding scale. I think pH can also alter during reaction. But they don't really on the acidic corrosive quality the acid is a clever chelating mechanism. I explain mechanism in best FR video.

Is Gyeon Tar safe on PPF? I've got some chewing gum filaments stuck on my PPF and was wondering if Tar would be a appropriate to remove that.
@ForensicDetailing2 ай бұрын
the new one is supposed to be less voc and safer. but I would just ping them first mate and ask. it almost certainly will be ppf safe but test small spot perhaps. dont leave it on for too long. do multiple short spray dwell wipe hits rather than one long soak if you try. but should be fine. make sure panel is cool
@user-w29vfwh59vd2 ай бұрын
@@ForensicDetailing thanks for your tips Jon
@KiranPatel-fk1pg2 ай бұрын
Another tip is, soak the area with some water first just do dilute the tar remover slightly and ensure that the tar remover isn't going directly on the PPF dry. Also don't spray it on the tar directly. Instead spray it only a makeup pad, lightly agitate the tar then immediately either rinse off. Or spray with a waterless / rinsless and wipe off

Ok please explain the science behind correctly removing iron deposits. We know it's a small shard of metal stuck in the clearcoat. I always felt using a claybar first breaking the part that is sticking out of the clearcoat and then using liquid iron remover to soak into the iron below the surface to remove it. what are the benefits and drawbacks to using these products in different order?
@michaelmarchei85392 ай бұрын
The avid oxidises and breaks down thwe iron deposits, making them soft and easier to remove.... Doing it with clay is rough and ready, more chance of introiducing marring and swirling
@ForensicDetailing2 ай бұрын
Weve talked about this before. They don't dissolve iron. Don't use them after claying. They dissolve the rust layer which shrink the embedded fallout so it's looser Do as precursor to clay. Clay will be more effective
