Thing is in journalism, often people at the younger end are handed an article or a story or something to do by their bosses, it's a bit later in their careers that they get to do what fascinates them. So she may be trying to appear interested when really this video isn't where she ultimately wants to be. we do a lot of dusting, lifting, and analyzing fingerprints in my class. if you have lots of dust on the brush and aggressive with brushing the fingerprints, the oils and grease in the fingerprint will smudge making it difficult to analyze the characteristics of the fingerprint and pinpointing the suspect. learning about going with the curve of the fingerprint really helps to avoid smudging it. i kinda wish we did the other techniques of developing and lifting fingerprints only because it seemed so interesting in the video.
