Thing is in journalism, often people at the younger end are handed an article or a story or something to do by their bosses, it's a bit later in their careers that they get to do what fascinates them. So she may be trying to appear interested when really this video isn't where she ultimately wants to be. But she still did her job well enough for us the audience to get the benefit of the expert's experience.

That's not Criminology, that's Forensics. Criminology is a Social Science which studies crime-related behaviour. Forensics is lab-based or field-based and it requires technical skills. You'll never see a Criminologist lifting fingerprints, they don't know how to do that, they are Psychologists, in essence.

we do a lot of dusting, lifting, and analyzing fingerprints in my class. if you have lots of dust on the brush and aggressive with brushing the fingerprints, the oils and grease in the fingerprint will smudge making it difficult to analyze the characteristics of the fingerprint and pinpointing the suspect. learning about going with the curve of the fingerprint really helps to avoid smudging it. i kinda wish we did the other techniques of developing and lifting fingerprints only because it seemed so interesting in the video.

Everyone is complaining about wired "showing people how to commit crimes" but I dont think they are doing that at all, he showed us some basic stuff but there are obviously things left out for that exact reason, I think these videos are fascinating! It's like CSI or NCIS but in real life and not some Hollywood bs, thank you wired for entertaining us :)

I guess I'm in the minority, but I like this format. Louise asked good questions and I feel like the video would have felt rather slow and awkward if Matt had just been talking to the camera. Great video

@@laynamurillo2518 don't hate me, but I have a similar personality to the girl. It's normal to be awkward or annoying, but the video would feel slow and boring if the girl wasn't there. I personally feel attacked when people hate someone for a simple reason.
