Pause at 44:41. That right hand grip is something. Looks like a high handicapper trying to fight a slice not a low single digit player. But yeah, the tops and shanks aren't convincing either
@jackheroux54333 жыл бұрын
@@EdReed20DB I sort of agree he’s not as low of a handicap as he says he is but saying that grip is “something” is bs. Plenty of pros use it including Robert Macintyre
@EdReed20DB3 жыл бұрын
@@jackheroux5433 fair enough. There are some strong grips out there, but they typically have a ton of rotation in their swings. Maybe Riggs' low hands is making his setup look more awkward or something. I looked up Robert macintyre and it's strong, but Riggs is way more under still. Looking again it's the right wrist flexion that looks extreme. Looks like he has the shaft leaning backwards quite a bit at setup
@rhull39393 жыл бұрын
Tops and shanks happen to everyone on a bad day, even pros. Go watch one of the PGA videos called "golf is hard". What most people don't understand is that your handicap is a reflection of a few of your best scores and gives zero weight to your bad scores. 18 birdies says I'm a 9 and I will shoot in the low to mid 90's on a bad day but my good days I'm high 70's or low 80's. The problem with Riggs is that he's not a very likable guy, so everyone rips him, but he can golf a little even with that clunky, ugly swing.
@chilogistics16422 жыл бұрын
I love watching these guys, but to Trent candidly complaining about playing five days of golf, for a job, makes my skin crawl. Bro, you somehow landed a dream job. I'm still waiting for any sort of video evidence that gives any hint or sniff of the idea that Riggs is an honest 3-4 handicap. He even said recently in a podcast he got to "my lowest was 1.4 in the summer." Why lie? And Riggs wonders why everyone rips on him on the internet.
@redsarmy34843 жыл бұрын
Riggs missing that putt at 32:02 and then miss again those should be automatic for a 1.4 handicapper
@patts61533 жыл бұрын
1.4 you got to be kidding🤯🤣🤣🤣 You must mean 14 hcp!
@leightonp84963 жыл бұрын
it can happen if you play everyday at the same course you can have a run of really good scores. Riggs has shot in the 70s on some of these videos. If he has a few months shooting some really good scores your handicap can drop and it takes a while to adjust back to "normal" until those scores are no longer counted. I think the reality is Riggs is probably around a 5-6 but he can probably go really low on his home course. You have to remember your handicap is a reflection of your best day it's not really an average and it doesn't count your bad days.
@sub_second_life31743 жыл бұрын
do you know how many golfers lie about their handicap? I average a score of 85 on most courses I play and I’ve been paired with people who tell me they shoot 76-80 and I just don’t see it. I played with these two liars who couldn’t even get off the first tee box on a straight par 4. If I’m new to golf and I’m beating you, then you just look like an idiot when you say you’re a 5 handicap. Also don’t be giving yourself putts outside of 4 feet. You have to putt those out. We all miss those sometimes
@leightonp84963 жыл бұрын
@@sub_second_life3174 they usually lie the other way! you also have to factor in playing on camera, im betting if you played on camera you'd shoot quite a bit higher than you would at your home course not being put on youtube for the world to see. Riggs has shot in the 70s on these streams so he can clearly do it. His handicap is just a reflection of his best scores over a short time frame, he probably is a 5 handicap playing his home course not being videoed.
