Forest Birds of Pōneke

Over the last decade, the Urban Ecology team from Wellington City Council have been running a monitoring programme to survey forest birds across our Pōneke reserves.
In 2021 we completed 10 years of this programme, which means we are able to see meaningful trends across the city.
This is a story of the forest birds of Pōneke, and how they have taken flight through science and community action.

Great stuff indeed. Warmed my heart, as a member of Zealandia and a mouse/rat trapper participating in Predator Free Island Bay. How about we also get people back into caring about plastic pollution and littering in general? I pick up so much rubbish in my travels that I can't help feeling we need to be returning to the tidy kiwi days.
