@@swisscheese714 I change some of my bikes quite often. I had the gen 1 and sold it. Thought that this was a mistake and bought the gen 2. Then I sold it because I had too many bikes beside the 1290. Now I kind of regret it again. Thad led me to the descision that I need a Duke again. I shortly bought the 790 Duke (which I already had a couple years ago) and think that this is right now the best compromise of what I need for the streets here in Switzerland. Too risky with a 1290...

Hej! Hojen är jättesnäll och väldigt trevlig, sambon har köpt en likadan som hon övningskör på och har som sin första tunga MC. Inga problem alls att köra! Jag har låst upp elen på min så man får bättre respons. Kör man på vanliga körläget street/sport så behöver du inte vara orolig! Lycka till 🙏

Have you tried the super duke ? I currently own 790 and undecided between the 1290 and the 890 I know the 890 is nimble as the 790 What’s your opinion ?

Actually I have not, the 890 works perfect for the most part but if you want more torque and power in higher speeds I would go for the 1290. If you are about to have someone else on the bike I would also go for the 1290, however the 890 works good for most of the time but for me I would like a little bit more power above maybe 170kmh. Still don’t know if it’s worth the money lol 😂💵

Tack! Ja tyvärr är det så men däcken presterar bra och jag tycker det är okej att de kostar lite extra i utbyte mot att jag vet att greppet är kanon! Andra däck som jag kört med tidigare på andra hojar är Metzler M7rr, även Bridgestone S22, även Michelin power 6. Tycker samtliga fungerat bra 👍

Do you get a lot of bar shake when accelerating in higher speeds/ gears? Is there any way to rectify this?

A little bit, there is a steering damper mounted from factory so it’s pretty stable all in all 👍

@@s.aracing5431 replace the stock steering damper oil with a thicker one. The oil that comes stock is too thin, I noticed a great improvement when I replaced mine with 20W.

@@ivanstevanovic5372 tbh I would stick with the 890R. For me the MT-09 feels too heavy and not that nimble. I like the more aggressive stance and playfulness of the 890. However the MT-09 is not a bad bike at all but it just comes down to personal preference. I would say that if you want a more aggressive and playful bike, go 890. If you want a more comfortable bike and like the sound of 3cyl crossplane, go MT-09. Both are good, I just like the 890 more 👍

I’ve tried the Z model and I felt it dull, heavier and more like a street cruise bike. The KTM feels lighter and lot more torque which results in a more playful bike altogether in my opinion! Try ride em both if you have the opportunity 👍

Actually the bike runs stock, however it’s a bit rich but nothing that’s an issue, fuel consumption is a bit higher but it’s not that bad. Everything is standard except exhaust, original headers with a decat and Mivv Short pipe 👍 good enough for regular road use 👍

Short answer in my opinion, the KTM. A little bit more aggressive than the Yamaha and I like the chassis better on the Ktm 👍
