I don't get it - why didn't you take and put an extra card from the deck into the clearing when you put down a tree card at 5:07 BUT you took an extra card from the deck at 4:10? Didn't you make a mistake at 5:07, not taking a card from the deck? Am I missing something here?

There he is paying the cost (with a tree card). And not playing the tree in his own forest.

Great game. I play it on BGA a regularly. I takes w a couple of games until you know all the abilities and bonus stuff. but after that it's smooth sailing.

Good explanation. Thank you. I find it humorous that there are FOURTEEN cards explaining things in more detail in addition to the rulebook. Hopefully I don't need to need to go referring to those often, as I think that would get tedious, but the game overall looks fun. (Not a fan of Wingspan so I hope this isn't like that). I didn't understand,in rules book it's also not said but to attach some animal or plant card to the tree ,they must not have the same sign of tree leaf? I just spend the number of indicated cards and i can put animal/plant to any tree??

Using the same sign is optional, for some there are benefits if you use the required sign/symbol.

I don't have the physical game, but I'm pretty sure you just go tree by tree adding up all your points at the end. Scores can be well over 300 so scoring is definitely a bit rough in this game.

@MeepleUniversity 0/3 winter cards, 48 cards left in the deck, BGA has counted 178 moves so far. I didnt know that feature was at the top left of the page. 24 trees planted combined. Both of our scores are over 160. The game is just dragging on.

We just played our first game (2 player) and it did take nearly 90 minutes only towards the end did we get into the stride too, we lacked trees
