I’ve never even played any of the silent hill games yet I’ve been listening to the soundtracks for years. I know all of the songs like the back of my hand and they’ve comforted me in some tough times. Really shows just how great of soundtracks they are even without the context of playing the games.

Growing up with queer coded cartoons and interesting horror series made for young teens was an amazing experience. By the time SH 1 and 2 were released, I was still in a stage where I was able to be easily terrified by my superstitions. These early horror titles are so frightening, I think they're capable of causing some traumatic experiences in people. They're truly one of a kind.

This song, this new take just reminds me of peace and solace. That quiet part inside that yearns for contentment on an appraoching bad day that you feel has either come or gone already, leaving you to recede into yourself and find subtle comfort within. It is just peace inside the self when everything else is going so wrong, find a moment to find yourself in the quietness of somber music.

This lil animated background got me tweaking big time. Sharp black grass foreshadowing the atmosphere of the city, but the light green sky almost like a swamp is raining down, blurring and watering down the trees AND James, who doesn't really care. One can only wonder what is on his mind in this pastel scene. Beautiful!
