I love the dynamics of this song. They captured a lot of emotion and created a story. They invested a lot of time to make a song, trying to capture a new interpretation without losing the essence of the original song. Thanks for your heartfelt reaction to Forestella! Did you notice that the time was going backwards? Look carefully the clock face. It's reversed. That's why the clock looked so old in the beginning and became clean and new.. I love their storytelling performance like this, which brings me to another dimension of imagination. For me felt like the lyrics is what they were telling to each other. They shared years like practicing together almost everyday. (They said would be 1~2days they don't see in a month.) They went through tough times together too. So this made me tear up often. Big shout out to Kang HyungHo for his last belting.

Jim Croce died 50 years ago this year. In my opinion, this was by far his best song from all the fantastic songs he wrote. This performance was absolutely amazing.

This was good, for sure, but you really should listen to the original recording by Jim Croce. He wrote the song and recorded it and you can feel it coming from his soul in a way that others can't duplicate. Thanks and blessings. 🙏😊

I agree. This version actually grew on me as it went along, (at least until it went full out Broadway musical) . But I never could quite get over the prepackaged boyband feel of it, compared to the raw, organic original of Croce. Kind of like when En Vogue did an a cappella version of 'Yesterday' years ago. Technically beautiful, but it just doesn't quite work as a happy, snappy song.

Cover songs are neither copy nor competition. A cover is a creative musical journey that reinterprets the original song and gives it a new color. Original songs and cover songs cannot be compared, and each has a different charm, so you should enjoy it from a different perspective. I respect your tastes, but comparisons aren't good.

@@푸른사자-t5c I agree in principle with your remarks. But even so, on their own merits the cover songs *can* be considered successes or failures. Personally, I found most of this version interesting, but overall incompatible with the aesthetic of the song, particularly lyrically.
