Hi Wolfie, interesting point about Elanga. I would at least want him here for the rest of the season. My take is that I think it is a confidence thing with him. This could be the start of a good run from him. I think he's dying to make himself a real asset to Forest and the way he took his goal yesterday he could be a massive player for us what with his speed as well. Hope he keeps his place vs Spurs on Boxing Day, another goal and a victory again could put his doubts to rest. What a great season it is for us this year. Happy Christmas mate.

Completely agree. Other than Wood, I still think there’s a lot more to come from the attackers which is really exciting considering how well we’re doing already
@mikerivers96343 сағат бұрын
Taiwo coming on on the closing stages makes me realise that if Wood is injured we don’t have a replacement that can offer a serious threat. Oh for a Stan Collymore who could make an impact even if the rest of the team were having an off day.

Everything you said bang on the money mate. I watched MOTD and the way they analysed it and what we all know about how we are out of possession, but then when we do get it we don’t hang about. It’s direct. It’s purposeful. And most importantly it’s impactful which is the key. Not this laborious, slow, pedestrian possession based game that most of these top sides play. Yes controlling the ball is very key at the top level and even for a counter attacking team we need to be able to look after the ball in spells when we are under pressure but it’s just beautiful the way we spring no messing around when we do get it. Also Elanga shed some what I found very interesting light on Nuno. He said the fact he can speak multiple languages really helps the team with the ideas and what he wants from individuals. Also having that pre season really helped and getting the signings in early. All in all another one ticked off but this can’t stop. Spurs on Boxing Day irrespective of what happens today against Liverpool we need to be confident to make it 4 in 4. Last time we won 3 in 3 we lost to Newcastle and couldn’t make it 4 in 4. So let this time be different. You Nuno reds!!!!

The higher up Forest finishes this season, the better. Not only because we want to play in Europe next season but also because of the financial rewards PL is handling out at the end of the season. I must be honest though, before this season started, I was happy Forest finishing top 14. So I have changed my expectations now. We play good and deserve the position where we are now. Come on you Reds!

I think it’s the triple 3-0 defeats are what give us little doubt!! But these victories at old trafford V Villa and at Brentford are causing us to believe!!

I think fi Nuno had played the same formation as yesterday at Man city and Arsenal we would have got something out of them?
@adamalexander51815 сағат бұрын
@jasonrevill861 I agree. He played 4-2-3-1 and going toe to toe was perhaps a tad naive or arrogant. Would rather he be pragmatic and pick up points as he did at Anfield, Stamford Bridge and yesterday

I do think West Ham was easier because we had more of the ball, but that is the most relaxed I’ve ever seen us off the ball and it was brilliant

I don't think it's the fact it was easy i think it's the fact we were very solid at the back and were good going forward

I'm not sure I'll be disappointed if we don't get into Europe. Top 10 is great. I think we can do it though. A couple brought in during January window and who knows? We could smash it.

And of course our late legendary Clough... Tqvvm again to everyone associated with d club.. esp our beloved Nuno... Felt like those years were just a few season ago.. Keep it up and COYR.. 💪💪💪

The reality is if Cooper had somehow survived and kept us up we wouldn't have progressed this season and would be 15th or below as he's not a PL manager. I'm happy to say he's one of the best managers if you're a Championship club looking to progress but he's not PL level. Nuno is and was always a huge upgrade despite what some of our idiotic fans were saying. Too many people were focusing on Spurs when every manager fails at Spurs and his win record was better than Ange is doing this season anyway. The job he did at Wolves proved what a good manager he is when he gets a proper preseason and summer transfer window. And again he still isnt getting enough credit from the media or some of our own fans. As for Forest in general, whatever happens top 10 would be absolutely fantastic progress as I bet most people expected us to be still in the bottom half but maybe not in a relegation battle so its steady, fantastic progress regardless. What infuriates me is if we lose to the generic top 6 or indeed anybody and there's a massive meltdown as though losing a game now and again is somehow unacceptable as happened after Arsenal and Man City - remember where we were last season and embrace what we're doing now

I would stick with Elanga. He seems to be growing up quickly with Nuno in charge. He is growing in confidence now and knows what he needs to do.

Question: we’ve previously been building up to Murillo likely leaving in the summer, partly because he wants to play in European football. Do you think us being in 4th is making him think he doesn’t actually need to leave? Do you think we keep him if we get a European spot come the end of the season?
@ForestFanTV5 сағат бұрын
I think it plays a huge part in him staying. But if Madrid come knocking i think the temptation will be too big for him
@AdamGdoesFPV5 сағат бұрын
@ fair enough. Would be great if we could start to keep our stars rather than worry about the “bigger” clubs swooping in for them. Great win yesterday 🥳 bring on Spurs!
@PrehistoricPro22 минут бұрын
I would be disappointed if we didn't get into Europe now, but I wouldn't be angry unless we just stopped fighting for it (which I can't see happening). Top 10 would represent huge progress, but Europe is there for the taking. It's got to be the target now & it's a realistic goal, especially from this position.

A truly fabulous result against Brentford, but my only worry and concern now is that MGW has picked up a suspension and can't play in the Spurs match on Boxing Day.
@ForestFanTV5 сағат бұрын
Well let me cheer you up. He's not suspended
@jetsetter7973 сағат бұрын
@ForestFanTV Really? Well that's strange, because he picked up a yellow card in the Brentford match, and the TV commentator said that that was his second yellow (one from the previous match too) which meant that he would miss the Spurs match. Something's wrong somewhere then!

Hi Wolfie, I think an offer of £50m for Elanga would be too good to refuse. Yesterday was great result. I think in January we need a striker that can give Wood real competition as first choice striker. I still think we need GK too. Sels made some good reflex saves yesterday but IMO I think his positioning; reach and decision maker are still a big concern. Happy days though….COYR 😀
@mcdona227 сағат бұрын
In some respects it's 'easier' to play the bigger clubs because they are free hits. Man U are a shambles so nice to win but not the real test. Villa and Brentford are very tough opponents and not routine games and the guys have done the business. Spurs better come correct or they'll be in for a beat down
@robertosechi5926 сағат бұрын
I would have taken 8 points from these tough 7 games. The fact we have 12 points and moved up the table is a joy. Also, we have played the top 3 goal scoring teams away from home, and they have managed just 1 goal between them. Have we the best defence in the league? I'll not accept our defence not being in the top 2 in the league. On Elanga, definitely keep him. He's only 23. The point is that even when his form dipped, his attitude is great. He kept working and trying. Players like this always have a good chance of their form improving.

It's small margins in most games. Realistically, if Sels hadn't produced that wonder save in the second half, it could have been a different result. However, Forest appear to be far more resilient under Nuno and victories inspire confidence and belief. I thought Gibbs White was back to his best yesterday, and Aina is in the form of his life.

40 points is just three games away! Europe has to be the target otherwise the target is to get less points in the second half of the season than the first. Which means the team would be going backwards, which wouldn’t bode well for next season, I for sure don’t want to go through the same pain that Wolves and Palace fans are going through this season. Besides Marinakis won’t accept regression!
