I was stationed in Worcester, Mass back in mid 70's and traveled to Maine several times. Climbed Mount Katahdin , saw the Allagash River and visited Old Town, ME. You ought to stop in Old Town, Maine where they hand made Old Town canoes. Fascinating! I don't know if the canoe company is still there (along the Penobscot River) but it was fun to see their various hand made wooden canoes. That's where I saw a massive wooden hand built canoe that appeared to be 20 feet long. The proprietor was very cordial and entertained our novice questions (smile). Have a fine weekend.

Houndsman One We love it in Maine. We’ve not been to Katahdin yet. It’s a huge state with so much natural beauty. Will have to make it to Old Town sometime soon. Thanks

Mane is not far from us... We are in Ontario around Algonquin Park area forestry is a big thing here.... I'm proud we do not clear cut in Ontario we harvest the trees we want and leave the rest so the forest grows back strong and fast with biodiversity... Nice to have you around

That's awesome mate, what a great step for your business. Our natives are generally extremely slow growing so plantations are few. I'd love to see commercial bush 'parks' set up instead of ugly miles and miles of radiata pine😥Probably aint gonna happen though.

Very interesting Steve! Good luck on your foresting journey. Quick question, what initially drew you to Maine as a location?

2019 Mildred MontagWe looked for a place that was beautiful and unspoiled yet rural enough that we can acquire enough land to a actually make an impact. Additionally, it had to be accessible enough that we could get to it. We found this parcel within a few miles of our Maine home. The timing was perfect!
