It seems to be a solid machine. Has anything broken or bent splitting heavier rounds?

Thanks for uploading this. Would have been nice to see you split some bigger or longer rounds but I guess this is what you had at the time.

Gday Matt, we just noticed this video clip for our 18ton log splitter. We share the same pleasurement with you and happy you are satisfied with our log splitter. Could we have your permition to use this video for media purpose? Or simply just invite you to post this video/link to our website. Best Regards. Forestwest Team :)

Hi Matt, Thanks for making the video...So far whats your experience been with your unit? Im thinking buying the Forestwest 15 tonne kinetic splitter. Cheer, Barry

Hi Barry, still happy with it. 15 ton should be fine, if the wood sizes you have fit in the splitter.

yeah i have the 34 ton version , it went really good to start with , then the base plate the motor was mounted on fell to pieces , so i rebuilt that a lot stronger , but i made a fatal mistake , as i didnt understand exactly how some of the bits worked , the manual that came with it was a piece of shit , anyway the fatal mistake was tightening the fan belts to much when after i repaired it , i didnt realize the belts needed to be not tight and not loose , this is a sort of safety clutch , as the rack belts the piece of wood through the axe , as it reaches the end it allows the belts to slip on the flywheels , otherwise ya do what i did , smashed the pinion and bent the engaging bit , it just went through anything like that , anyway the guys at Forestwest were great they sent me new parts at no cost and i finally repaired it not long ago , i have split about 30 ton since and it is working great , it is not as powerful as my 30 ton hydraulic splitter , but it is still way faster and way better , the hydraulic splitter is to slow , i wanna split wood , not stand around waiting for the splitter to be ready for me , it has split anything i want to split , its a good machine , well worth the money
