hi Angela. If you are interested, there are a couple good books about flora and fauna of the Canadian Rockies. I use Edible and Medicinal Plants of the Rockies, and, Ben Gadd's Guide to the Rockies. Lots and lots of plants and critters 🙂 I hope you find these helpful.

The saying is the mountain will be there tomorrow, you don't have to make it on the first attempt. It's amazing how fast the weather can change at the higher elevation and when the mountain decides to make its own weather. You will make it next time and get a view we all can enjoy.

Yes, dogs are amazing. Some humans could learn a lot from them. My guy is a 16-pounds floof. We don't do hikes anything like FF but he's always right out in front excited to see what's over the next hill.

Less experienced hikers may get a false sense of security by watching summit successes that edit out real risks. You do a real service as an honest & responsible example to others with less knowledge and skill.

I really enjoy the variety in these videos - Rocco’s antics, mountaineering, cooking, gorgeous drone footage, laundry, and those shots of the porcupine! So great. I also appreciate your comments on being careful not to bother the folks camping nearby with your drone. Fixing up forest trails, packing out your trash, and being thoughtful about the use of your drone all show what a decent guy you are. ❤️

Glad to hear you totally respect other people when you are using the drone. Not that I would think otherwise. I definitely have a love hate relationship with drones. Love the ability to see routes and the incredible vistas, but totally hate it when they are near me when I am in the outdoors. Always glad to see you are willing to turn around when it doesn't feel right. Thanks for taking us along.

wtf! 1:34 you walking along that ledge was terrifying the whole climb was fraught with very real danger the latter climb had beautiful scenery rocko can handle those ridges like a seasoned pro such a great dog

Good call to call off the climb the mountain isn't going anywhere looked scary with the deep crevasse's and rain, Nice the Rocco and you were able to get a good hike in regardless and safer at that , Rocco is such a trouper on your climbs god love her .
