This was such a great time in Dynasty. The plots were juicy and everyone was bratty, catty and bitchy. Alexis in red dominates the image. 80s televisions were probably on the verge of exploding lol Red was definitely her signature color. Nancy Reagan had nothing on Alexis in the red department lol!

On what planet do you tell a store to "charge it to so and so's account" and then walk out?

Smaller stores used to do that if they had a relationship/account with that person. And a husband or wife could both charge to that account. I grew up in small suburb of Dallas and my parents had an account at a small department store there. Most of the staff had worked there for a long time and they knew my Mom and if I needed school clothes or a new blazer for church, I could charge it to my parent's account. Widespread acceptance of credit cards did away with that.
