As a Bulls supporter I was very excited when I heard he was joining the Bulls. Unfortunately has has been a big disappointment. He lost so much speed and did very little to impress when he did play for the Bulls. Maybe the gameplan wasn't the best for him but I will not be disappointed if he leaves. I hope he get himself shorted out, but let's not forget he didn't set the world alight before he left the Sharks.

Did you see his performance in the world 15? What about wandisile simelani? Clearly jake white cannot manage players simelane was on his way to making the bok squad but he decided to play him at 15 ,why play him in a position he doesn’t usually play...jake is the problem from what i see bulls may need a new coach with fresh ideas Its clear that theres a problem within the bulls their current form is on currie cup level they just not as good anymore sad part is that a year or two ago they were almost the best club in the country

@koketsoncongwane1602 Like I said, Sbu wasn't setting the world alight at the Sharks before he came to the Bulls. These Babaas games are also more festival games with less structure, I will not judge a player on those types of games. As I said before, Sbu lost a lot of speed. Jake has nothing to do with it. What Sbu did is unprofessional and low class. The Bulls could have sacked him after he disappeared, but they tried to help him. As for him not performing at the Bulls, that is unfortunately something that sometimes happens. Players sometimes don't fit into a team's game plan. Evan Roos did nothing at the Sharks. He moved back home and joined the Stormers, and he became URC player of the season. Evan, however, didn't have a go at his employer in such a public way. Some people just don't appreciate opportunities.

@koketsoncongwane1602 You also forget Jake was very ill this year and missed a chunk of the season. As I understand it, he almost didn't survive. You also forget Louw, Nortje, Moodie, and Arendse became Springboks under him, and Marcel Coetzee returned to the Springboks. The evidence suggests that Jake is not the problem. He also got his team with no names and forgotten players to a URC final just a year ago.

@@wlk2408 you made good points but lets be honest about coetzee he’s never touching a bok Jersey again but great player though I feel like they make a lot of unnecessary signings they just signed sergel peterson from the stomers....why? We can also agree on the fact that him making wandisile simelane switch positions has affected his career lets be honest He’s a great coach but bulls need to go to the drawing board if they wanna compete at the highest level in the urc and European championship The European championship gave SA teams a good wake up call exposing us in key areas showing that we not as physically dominate as we thought the increase salary cap for next season is a good thing we need more big names in bulls

@koketsoncongwane1602 Coetzee was brilliant for the Bulls, but not that impactfull at the Boks. Onec again , it might be the different game plan. I also don't think he will play for the Boks again, but then again, you never know. Simelani is still very young and very talented. One season is not going to destroy his career. I hope Jake will move him to 13. Unfortunately, the Bulls didn't have a lot of 15's this season, but with the Edinburgh fullback coming, he might move back. Our teams have the smallest salary caps in the world. Leinster spends more than double what our teams are allowed to spend. Leinster has R133 million for salaries. Our teams have a cap of R65 million. I don't know how the Sharks get past the cap, but they clearly have a squad worth much more than R65 million. Our cap has been lifted to R85 million for next season, but it is still the lowest in the URC. Where the Stormers are getting the money from is also a question because they are supposedly under administration, but they seem to have more money for players than the Lions. If our teams have the same salary cap as the Irish teams, we can bring back some of the 131 players playing in top leagues in Europe and Japan. We have so many world-class locks playing outside of South Africa. Imagine the difference they would make to our teams? RG Snyman, Lood De Jager, Franco Moster, Pieter-Steph Du Toit, Jean Kleyn, Paul Willemse, David Ribbans, Jasson Jenkins, JD Schickerling, Jannes Kirsten, JJ Van Der Mescht, Nico Janse van Rensburg, Cobus Wiese, Ryno Pieters. There is more, but that gives you an idea. Also, remember that every URC team in SA can only have 48 players, and almost 50% must be qouta. There are 132 SA players playing abroad in top leagues, and only 15 are non white. I hate qoutas, but the reality is that it handicaps our URC teams in terms of depth. I watch a lot of schoolboy rugby because it is the only rugby left in SA where kids still compete on merit and merit alone. This year is the first year that school teams with predominantly non white players were able to challenge our traditional rugby power house schools. Especially DHS and KES have done very well. Once we get to a point where schoolboy teams with predominantly non white players start having regular success against teams with predominantly white kids. If that happens, we will never have to worry about qoutas again. Then people will realize how much qoutas have held us back. Qoutas was the lazy politicians' way to fix transformation. Schoolboy rugby development should have been the focus. Had we done that, we would have had a much bigger and better non white base to select from by now. We wasted almost thirty years with this system that will never produce what we want. Talented players must be developed through coaching starting at junior level. Who is doing it? Nobody, we just hope it will happen by itself. We hope black kids will go to good rugby schools or good rugby schools will scout black kids, although there is no insensitive for them to do so. We are being idiots. I coached in many schools. We need government and SA rugby to develop black rugby players through our schools. Unfortunately, that requires actually doing your job, and we know that is something they hate. If we can unlock our true potential, we can have 200 South Africans playing abroad and still have more than enough quality players for our home teams. I truly hate what qoutas are doing to our rugby. It is never going to produce the number of players we need to sustain four or more top local rugby teams. There is so much talent in this country, but somebody will have to go and develop that talent.

White mentions that Sbu is currently not playing good enough or training hard enough, the last mentioned I could probably agree with, but yet again the training is what the couches see. However I would disagree with the playing part. Come on, what we saw of Sbu againts the Babaas on Sunday, is what we have been seeing from him, he hardly has a poor game...he is a good player and he don't have to proof himself over and over to proof that, obviously that's more of a public approval then a coaches...just saying 6:32

Theres a reason he's not on the Springbok radar, and hasn't been for a while, even when he was at the sharks... I don't think he can blame his poor form on the Bulls, he needs to take responsibility and get himself right or hang up his boots

SBU has a attitude problem. He has a victem mentality and therefore does not make a good team player. He blames every thing and everyone for his personal problems. He does not deserve being in any team before he does not accept his problems and change his attitude.

Disagreed. He needs the right context to thrive. The oke has gone from a Bok player to relegated to bench sometimes for a club. He is not performing because he is in the wrong context. It has nothing to do with his disrespectful attitude. He is tired, probably depressed and is struggling to find a reason to play for the Bulls. Disrespect, my foot.

@@Skyscraper2015 it is still his attitude. Nobody forces him to stay, but his disrespect, just absconding for weeks, not pitching for practice is a sign of that, nothing to do with liking or disliking the person. Respect (likeability) is earned not pissed out over you. Hard work produce results, not your abilities. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO ATTITUDE! nothing more nothing less. He is fucking it up, not Jake and I am the last to be a Jake White fan. He had these problems where ever he played. Licking his ass, is not going to change his attitude, he has to change it. If not, it will be a pitty, because that talent will die with the attitude.

@Skyscraper2015 this nonsense started at the Sharks right? He wasn't happy there either..Jake has coached thousands of players..He has won a WC..Sbu has issues bigger than rugby...nobody forces him to play under Jake...cut your losses and go to where you want to play..but he is making it difficult for himself..once you get a reputation as a difficult player you are going to struggle to find a team..

Jake White manages Black Players and top talent very poorly. Also His time in Rugby top teams is up but many don’t see it yet. He’s expired now.
