What about when not just one number in the pip that has changed like if it's all the numbers for instance if you bought at 0.7422 and stopped out at 0.7393 how would calculate this???

This was great, been searching for "forex pips explained" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Menabeth Pips Parapraxis - (search on google ) ? It is a smashing exclusive guide for making a ton of money trading forex using this software without the normal expense. Note everybody. He could of also involve what the lot sizes are. In these ways as well. No need to get confuse all you would do is Multiply how many points the market went down if you sell & include multiplication. Ex. 0.68772 market went down to 0.68477 That is 295 points down. Versus trading at a micro lot size as 0.01 295 X 0.01 = $2.95 Here are the other lot sizes Micro 0.01 = 10C per pip Mini 0.10 = 1$ per pip Lot 1.00 = 10$ per pip This is how I see it just thought I’d share. what i dont understand is if i spend letys say £2, do i get 2 units on the pair? like stocks? if i spend £3 on a stock that cost £1 per share, id get 3 stocks. is it the same with forex?

@@nadxc8590 no you don’t. With forex you’re trading currency pairs and not stock value. For the stock market when you buy $3 stock for each that costs $1. Then you got 3 units and you own that 3 units. For the forex market, you don’t own any of the currency pairs. You take positions in hope for the market to go up or down in value. If you buy, and it goes down in value, then you’re loosing money

Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm very new to this. You may have mis-spoke when explaining about the PIP's. At 2:35 ish you said, if you buy and the market goes up, you make money and if you sell and the market goes down you lose money. I thought if you sell, you want it to go down?

Lol. i never actually thought about this. I trade Gold and Oil frequently. i Just let my drop down on my trading platform tell me what my max buy is and i know my leverage allowance so i just take a % of what i am allowed. That's how i calculate my risk % for that....seriously.
