I would say that is a Renko chart, not bricks, and size is determent by you, it can be 10 pips, it can be 20 and so on.

It's a Renko chart. It's safer to get out at the first opposing color brick. Also, use a 20 EMA. Remember, Renko doesn't care about time.

Is that the way you trade? For a while I'm checking the renko charts now. And I really think that any system with either 8,10,12,20, 36, 50, 100, 200 you name any emas or smas or smoothed emas whatever you want to throw in there will work if you have set rules for entry and exits. But discipline is really the key to stick to the rules you have

Renko is not time dependent so basically price gotta move to make money. I have been playing with a strategy with Renko and I realize it is better to use like a reversal indicator not to give up most of your profits when the bricks change to the opposite color. I try to use a 2 bricks or one brick reversal to exit then wait to see what the next brick will b before entering. I cannot sit in the front of the Pc waiting for a move so I will need to automate my strategy. Btw. the HHLLLHHL indicator is good for reversals or try the semaphore indicator on Metatrader, just my 2 cents . This is a no wick renko bricks so the higher high and lows indicator will not work but... these bricks will easily catch a double top, double bottom and triple tops and bottoms as u can see

There is no time frame for renko charts. A new brick only forms if the price moves an entire brick size up or down.

For instance, if you set your time frame to 15 minutes and the price spikes within the start and end of a 15 minute interval but then returns to basically the starting price before the end of the interval, that action is not recorded by a Renko chart. Only the open and closing prices of the time frame are used to construct the chart.

This Renko chart strategy looks great, but there are plenty of instances, the moment the 3 bricks appear the market moves in the opposite direction. This is a very risky trading strategy. I think the stop loss should be put just about a brick and a half to the opposite direction in case the market decides to reverse.
