It kinda figures that Celestia would still be trying to help Twilight and her friends, Even after she retired from being the ruler of Equestria. The only problem is that whenever she found a job to be too difficult, She pulled a Zephyr Breeze and cut corners in her work. As for helping Twilight, Celestia may have tried becoming her assistant. But again, Celestia was so used to ruling Equestria the things she did was just a force of habit.

I think it would be the opposite. She is DEFFIENTLY the type of pony to overdo things like in the episode where she and luna try to help. They literally changed the WHOLE bridge like it was nothing because of a small brick falling out and attacked a creature when it wasn’t necessary cuz the situation was already handled. She also sent her sister to the moon for a THOUSAND years (which I think was pretty fair but a thousand is deffiently overdramatic) and we also know Celestia LOVES adventure and trying different things
