how do you get thornbite rune to stack so much shield?

I am stacking ancestral crits to proc the rune effect as much as possible along with high defensives (mainly from armor) to build up more shield. The orbs also generate a ton of hits which also helps.

@@Bweeks173 thanks for the reply! currently my rune gives 266 armour per proc, i have 25% crit and ancestral, it wasn't working well, think i just realised that im running and Inner fire build and it seems inner-fire doesn't proc Ancestral crits so i was missing out on alot of shields lol
