I had a white v8 Treg with air and people slept on it sooo much! I loved that damn truck...there's so much more to them than anyone would guess like the air suspension, center and rear locking diffs, the doors keep up to two feet of water out when fording, etc. For those who haven't seen it, google/youtube the Touareg pulling the Boeing with it's v10 tdi engine. Super impressive, especially back then.

Not necessarily. Most of those Porsches and VW's can be picked up quite cheap nowdays. Just yeah, you will pay through your rear end if you don't have a garage to do your own repairs though.
