Another Episode of the Maker Adventure!!! The challenge/idea here was to use some of the scrap ice-pick brass and see if I was able to actually forge it to shape without breaking, melting, or totally destroying it in the process. Hopefully Jim's not too mad about the hole I put in the wall...

Yes! 🤘🏻 Maker Adventure is such a fun series - you made a keychain video fun to watch man 👍🏻 what’s that technique called where you scored and soaked the leather?
@skullandspade
@skullandspade 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Usually you would use a swivel head knife to do the design in the leather, cutting about 50% through the material, then get it nice and soft by wetting the leather, then press (using whatever hard tool, they sell tamping steel for this) to raise/lower as you see fit. I don't have all those tools so WORK WITH WHAT YA GOT!

When I was like 18 I lived in this party house downtown Toronto. I was constantly finding garbage and building bizarre weapons. A good friend worked at an electronics recycling depot and was always bringing parts for me that he thought would work. We made insanely dangerous high voltage Thor hammers that would shoot lightning and taser gloves. Flame throwers etc. Giant ballistas and many many swords and other goodies. Until we got evicted hahahah! We were gonna do a show at a gallery like apocalypse weapons showcase like a museum.
