Not bad, most videos I've seen using forged carbon have matted the fibers down with resin before vacuum bagging, helps with no loose strands and buildup, nice job

Congratulations on the final result and above all for your patience, a piece so large with this technique I would not do it even under torture :D For your sake and your loved ones always use protective equipment even when handling dry fiber and resin, it has nothing to envy to asbestos in terms of toxicity

Just vinyl wrapped my Yukon in vvivid + Forged Carbon vinyl wrap. Highly suggested if you want a very similar look without the mess. My whole suv is done in a dark grey ghost forged carbon wrap with a matte/satin-like finish and looks amazing! Otherwise, this looks like another fun method with a little more work.

Thank you! I didn't weigh it but I probably added around 750 gram of carbon and another 750 of resin (after sanding down). This isn't exactly the best method for maximizing weight reduction but it is actually adding strength to parts that have been rather thin to begin with.

Cool video, but it is not forged CF, as for that you would need to apply very high pressure (much higher than in autoclave, just like you do in case of forged metal parts, with a die). None the less, keep up the good work👍
