Forged in Fire is, above all, a family show. At least, that's what Doug Marcaida believes. You may recognize his catch phrase "it will kill." He utters this upon disemboweling test dummies. Pay attention though, because that's not actually what he says. At least, not anymore. What he actually says is "it will KEAL." This acronym, which Marcaida came up with himself, stands for "Keep Everyone Alive." Marcaida knows there are kids watching. He wants them to know that the violent weaponry they're being marketed actually saves lives. He's never explicitly stated any of this in the show, though. So all it really amounts to is little parrots running around spouting "it will kill!"

It's super thin but still is the toughest most durable knife I've got. My prep cook has even run it through our commercial dishwasher and it didn't even mess the handle up or stain the blade....all for less than 300 bucks....the value is ridiculous. Go buy a knife from this guy... seriously.
@jerm34436 жыл бұрын
Almost every time that guy does the kill test he says the blade causes lacerations. Blades don’t cause lacerations, they cause incisions. A laceration occurs when a blunt force splits tissue against a bony prominence or other hard surface (ex: a hammer leaves half moon shaped lacerations on a persons head when the skin is compacted between the hammer head and the skull). Lacerations often leave tissue bridging as well. An incision leaves no tissue bridging and usually occur with a slicing or penetrating motion rather than blunt force trauma.
@campbellholt12206 жыл бұрын
I don't know where you got that from but that's not the case at all laceration is just a medical word for a cut it can be caused by blunt force or a sharp object I looked at several different sources before making this comment and an incision is a surgical cut

qaib thai no. Very rarely did anyone have straight up steel plates for armor. 90% of medieval soldiers had nothing but chain mail, leather and Gambasin. The occasional middle class person sometimes had scale armor, but what youre thinking of is mostly fantasy armor. What the guy in the show clearly meant, was slamming it in to an actual sheet of metal, not armor. I think you should do more research on how battles were actually fought back then. But anyone who had full steel plate armor was royalty or very close to it.
