Svenson, Iwers and Stromblad were the heart and soul of In Flames. For nearly 15 years, 6 albums, countless tours these 3 guys KNOW each other. With Nicklaus also having been bandmates with Iwers and Svenson for 2 albums, these are guys that simply click. Add Michael's superior vocals and you get and album full of excellence. Familiar but new. In the Halo Effect we trust!

I was really afraid of the "super group effect", but this song really lives up to my expectations. 2/3 of the classic InFlames lineup along with the original vocalist and the main songwritter isn't even officially out of IF. You guys say it all in the video and I can't wait for the album (due next year)

In spirit, This speaks to me as an old gothenburg fan like how Beneath the Broken Earth spoke to paradise lost fans. The players have matured, but from the first note you just know, THATS THE SPIRIT! you end up smiling, really happy that the sound is still there

This is a solid track! The intro and then that same theme in the chorus, I love it. I don't really know why, but I do feel the "supergroup" label is somewhat of a negative association. I don't know why, perhaps as you say, the OG groups were more powerful than the collective. With that said, this is definitely not the case here. I love this track!

This is really dope song and I just hope the whole album will be as good. Melo-death certainly ain't dead. There is still so much new music coming: Arch Enemy, Amorphis... Hypocrisy already released new album etc.

I think the reason they didnt fall (yet, at least) in the supergroup trap is that they started just to have some fun and create music without expectations and a clear direction. Usually its the opposite with supergroups.

I’d be shocked if they ever fall in the super group hole. Remember - three of these guys all wrote 5 or 6 In Flames albums together. They are doing it again just under a new name.

i think they escape the supergroup thing because instead of a band made up of primadonnas from many bands, you have those dudes where all in the same band, and the one that is from another band is still a part of that bands history. so the chemistry between them as players is long established.

It is only the first song, and a single to boot. I mentioned to Ben elsewhere I'm hoping they experiment a bit with the overall sound and lyrical writing cus I could see this getting old real quick
