Will it damage the transmission synchronization device?Most short shifer will have that issues.

No this will not cause any damage!

2019 veloster N performance pack. Once I installed both plates and even tested at half way I found the shifter would jam like the gate had changed, it would have a notch in neutral and would prevent me from going from centre to the outside gates. I hadn't seen this video before but fairly certain I follow these instructions. Any idea what it might be?

If I like the factory side to side throw can I keep the factory linkage and just use the Forge front to back linkage?

How long does it take to install

We would recommend giving yourself a couple of hours to comfortable complete the install. 2-3 hrs for the average installer.

Need to see what you are doing in the engine bay. Verbal instructions are not a huge help.

Short Shifter is done inside car where the gear stick why you doing it in the engine bay ???
