Good presentation after the first 4 minutes of tech difficulties. These video could use some light editing for content.

Been binging a lot of production log videos recently. I can't imagine the frustration from all the freezes. But it's still a nice presentation! I love Gizmos.

Do gizmos work with snapping ? Is there a way when setting them up to define snapping increments or steps ? This would be huge to create nodes to design modular constructions, furnitures, systems, whatever...

Would be awesome if there was a 'check gizmo being interacted with' node, that could be used to feed a switch node to temporarily disable expensive nodes or reduce values to ensure good performance during tweaking.

To be honest, I dont like the idea of back propagating the data from the nodr to their inputs. I think that the node should just return a single value as expected and have the inputs be modified by single values via an extra new node or a new socket in the Group inout node (which i dont like either)
@donnydarko7624

Gizmo's aren't actually meshes. They are just UI shapes floating in 3d space. Like the 3d cursor, or the arrows for moving objects around.

the nodes get so messy - it seems almost better to have each datastream solo-able so the green geo, grey data, plus float/integer/vec are all easily identifiable and easy to tidy up

why call it foregt about nodes if its literally ONLY covering a node based workflow. the title implies we'll learn some trick, but its just nodes being nodes

He talked about that in the beginning. It's so people who make node tools and node plugins can make them for other people who then can forget about nodes. So maybe it should be "Help others forget about nodes"

I find the GN more and more complex. All these blocks for some Low Poly trees. it's more difficult to understand how it all works than to create a scene. I think it might harm Blender.
