True. There are many other things to do at the port as well like swim with the dolphins, go to the bird sanctuary, go on a flow rider and so on. The vendors can be pushy though.

Be careful about fish spa, they don’t clean the tanks and you can pick up fungus and lose your toes!

Approx how long is the walk from the ship to the pool area where you were enjoying the day?

About 10 mins walking casually. The pier is on the longer side but there is a shuttle that runs back and forth from the ships.

The cruise lines tell you what theme parties there are and on what night. Our ship also had a tropical night and a Gala Night!

Do you need to carry your passport with you? How much was the chips and salsa and the drinks?

Passports are not needed but it's a good idea to carry a photo ID like your driver's license and always carry your cruise card. The chips and drinks came to about $45 if we remember correctly.

The pool areas are free to use but if you want to use the lounge chairs there are signs indicating you need to purchase a drink or food to use. Food and drinks are not included in your package , so you will have to pay for those.

Don’t expect any bargains, one cruise vlog told about buying 2 double a batteries that cost $22!

We didn't purchase anything other than the food and drinks but we believe it! There was quite a bit of sales pressure from the shops as well.
