I love that it's not only Freddie on bass, but that is the same 1973 Precision bass he recorded the track with. Absolutely perfect, crushing, endless groove. This band is fantastic!

@@ameliopompeo5722 Yes of course. And, lets be honest, this is a catchy song but we are talking about it in 2022 because of his bass line and it's umpteen samplings.

Wow, what talent on that stage. Didn't realize that Patrice was SO versatile and talented until I started listening to more of her music in addition to "Forget Me Nots". And that bass player, LORDY that bass player! "Ready" Freddie Washington. SO solid and his timing is impeccable. And yup... that's one of the baddest bass lines to ever hit the airwaves! Love watching this performance. Sure wish Patrice and this band was touring. Wife and I would drive several hours in order to hear them.

@davidsanderson59185 жыл бұрын
laming2006 Check out not just Patrice’s albums but also her keyboard work on Jean Luc Ponty’s fusion albums ‘Upon The Wings Of Music’ and ‘Aurora’.....before she became a hit, she was already a serious virtuoso playing with ex-Frank Zappa musos and smashing it up with her solos and jazz voicings. She got da funk, yes.....but she’s a player, orchestrator, arranger, songwriter. And an inspiration frankly.
