Bridgeland’s award winning Taber Corn Berbon was released with a new twist at an elevated 101 proof (50.5%). This _bourbon style whisky_ is rich with spice and oak and a long finish. In this video I also talk a little about their mash process, how they use a sweet mash instead of a sour mash, and a bit of fun history on the term proof.

In this _Canadian whisky review_ of *Bridgeland’s Taber Corn Berbon* a bourbon style whisky, I discuss the colour, nose, and of course the palette and finish. I finish off the review with some discussion on the making of this whisky. For this whisky they used corn and wheat from Alberta Canada, double-distilled and aged in New American Oak (char #4) without additives, colouring, or chill filtration.

Bridgeland is putting out some fantastic stuff. This bourbon-style whisky is well above average for the price. This 101 proof whisky is like two-in-one if you want to add a few drops of water to open it up. Pick it up while you still can.

Thanks!! It definitely falls into the flavour camps of grainy / dark fruit / candied. Its hard to find an affordable craft whisky these days so this is worth checking out. Their Glenbow is fanastic! Review on that coming soon.
