I had a beautiful 1975 Firebird, red with a white and red interior and someone had put a shaker hood on it. Well it was beautiful until I went to have a new exhaust put on it and the mechanic called me and told me it almost fell off the lift. The sub frames were rotted away! I said goodbye to her a few days later.

Then you haven't seen very many. The common small blocks have em at the back, the common big blocks have em tilted off the front.

What are you running for shocks?
@hickeyskustomresto3 ай бұрын
@@seanjohnson386 if you mean the firebird there's Monroe gas in the rear and kyb gas in the front. The dart has some sort of old school air shocks, they look to be ancient but if I remember I'll have a closer look later today

@@hickeyskustomresto Yes, I was referring to the firebird. I have a '77 Trans Am and I'm considering replacing the 25 year old gas shocks currently on the car. I recently watched a youtube video featuring the owner of Eaton Detroit Spring and he claims that it wasn't until the mid-1980's that gas shocks started to become a thing. I am therefore seriously considering going back to a conventional hydraulic shock, such as these cars would have had from the factory.
