Your english is great! For stock sizes in inches we normally just use "inch". A square bar 2 inches thick is just called "2 inch square bar". For sizes less than an inch we usually don't say inch or inches at all, like "5/8ths round bar" or "3/4 square bar". The length is normally "inches", for example we might say "4 inches of 2 inch square bar" or "12 inches of 5/8ths round bar".

I'd say if it were more than 1 inch then it would be inches but if it was 0.9, for example, it would be inches. Otherwise I think it'd be inch if it was a fraction less than 1 like 5/8. Or if you were to say a singular item like a 24 inch bar it'd be inch.

25mm, we would just call that 1" or 1 inch. it would be inches for more than 1 :)
