Когда это рессорная сталь стала хламом? Да в средние века за неё серебра по весу бы платили.вещь красивая получилась.👍

Very cool. People don't realize how much work goes into a project like that. I have had people ask me how long it takes me to forge a sword. For me 2 or 3 days to forge it into shape. What they don't ask is how long it takes to finish, which depending on what is being made could be many weeks. Beautiful job, love the castings and how you put it all together.
That is a beautiful sword. Cut was soo clean the water where the slashpoint exited was still in there, That's Keel approval.

Lovely work but that tang construction is so bad you had all that steel at the end and you cut it off why do that you should of made a full tang construction that would of made it so strong but apart from that beautiful work

Yeah, that welded-on, threaded rod tang hurts my heart. Especially with only about a quarter inch of connection between the rod and blade stock.

Nice ornament, Its definitely something people would like to see either on a wall or mantlepiece, buit it is definitely NOT a weapon! Let me explain why: the blade construction was nice and the final product looked great, but that style of tang (the threaded rod going through the hilt/handle) is more likely to kill the wielder than any opponent. Rat tail tangs as that particular style is known, are a dangerously weak method of attaching a blade to a hilt as they are VERY prone to snapping and when they do, they can and do cause severe injury to the owner. IF you wish to use a screw/bolt on pommel to hold the handle together, use the original metal in the hilt, the wider the better and ONLY tap a thread on the metal which needs it!

But. But. Why? Why did you do that to the tang? you just destroyed your sword's integrity by doing that! and what's more, you had enough materials to make a good healthy tang for your handle! im just. so sad. AND your heat treat wasn't consistent all the way up the blade man... it's beautiful, it's a good display piece, but it could be more than that. your steel is a good high carbon spring steel and it's well sharpened, but the temper and the handle killed it. if you could redo this project but do it... right. I, along with any other bladesmiths in these comments who is worth their salt will really appreciate it. still a good video and a beautiful blade, I love the design.

As beautiful as it is, it is far from functional and the blade will probably seperate from the handle after the first time using it. You should've left some body for the tang of the weapon and I would've peened the handle tight, honestly.

I personally have no issue with a properly done screw pommel but that tang is dangerous; he should have made a proper tang rather than weld on some mild steel rod as a rat tail. To me, thats a double failure point.
