In this video, I forge one of my single face style hammers out of hexagonal stock - not my usual round or rectangular stock style. I also make this a bit longer than my standard hammers. I explain a bit about my tooling and the process...

I just cant believe you do all this by hand. People that have never hit a chunk of steel that big with a hand hammer would have no idea how hard it really is. Just amazing hats off too you Glen!

Glen, I'd love to have your Hammer...who wouldnt!! I love your anvil, forge and tools that you've made. I've been curious about your lifestyle, there in a foreign country. Hi Glen, You make it look easy and I hope it is some day for me! I have bad feet and I am a huge fan of your forge anvil setup, especially how you can sit in one spot and move from one to the other easily. I am redesigning my space to have that ease of use. Thanks Glen!

I always enjoy watching your blacksmithing videos. I am amazed as oto the way you blacksmith so many different tools, and projects without power hammers and the like. Yes, I'm in a major city on a busy road. Most neighbors here are just as loud, if not louder. But I'm careful to hammer only during business hours and mitigate the noise as much as possible. Thanks.

Hey Glen. I got a hold of 85lb 10" round piece of 4045. Heat treated it like you did in one of your videos. Worked like a charm. Made my first set of tongs. I only bought one hammer, everything else I will make. Look forward to start making hammers. Taking a trip to the steel yard this weekend for some more stock!
