very nicely done, jelly roll is my most hated pattern to make. just an idea for you. when its not fully welded, you could canister it and then tile it for a awesome pattern

Thats a plan. It was my test piece for a bigger billet i was planning thats why it was small. I plan on making a bigger billet in the future and trying again.

Great job sticking with it. I feel your pain. I just finished up my first feather billet that fought me the whole way. Love how it came out.

I hear many people start with a round stock in the center and go from there but i wanted it all from the same steel. Kind of how Neil Kamimura did his.

Great job. This is on my to do list. About how long did it take to do the initial role
@JPsBladeworks Жыл бұрын
Cant really tell time wise but it was at minimum an hour. It took a while to get that inital roll in but as it bulked up it got faster but its important to take your time forge welding it because if not you get giant gaps like i did.

How long did thsi actually take to do?

This was late last year so i dont remember but it had to be at least a day or 2.
