Forging River's Battle Axe: Foolfly, Season 1: Episode 1

Here's how it is: The cities got used up, so we moved out and terraformed our own shops. Some rich and flush with the new technologies, some not so much. Few of us makers formed an alliance to stand up against the changing times, among them myself. I'm Malcolm Reynolds, captain of Serenity. She's a maker ship; Foolfly class. Got a good crew: fighters, pilot, mechanic. We even picked up a preacher for some reason. You got a job, we can do it, don't much care what it is.

Why would this guy use ... that welder idk what it's called ... and not do what real smiths do, forge weld the tang part on? Lack of skill? Lack of trust in his ability to forge weld them successfully? I stopped there and moved on. Plus a full tang axe? Would NOT want to be using this to chop anything, that might hurt. Oh... I get it now, this piece of crap is ornamental. Not for self defense or for utility. Gotcha.

Well, it took 250 comments for you to show up and drop your horrible attitude on us. So let me say thank you for stopping in. It's unfortunate that you stopped at the welding part, because you may have noticed that the forge I use is a single burner propane forge. Which has an extremely tough time getting anywhere close to forge welding heat. But here on this channel, we don't stand on ceremony. Forge welding is a traditional style of fusing metals using heat. Turns out standard welding is also the fusion of metals, by way of electrical current and newer technology. Now, next time you "stop and move on" I'd suggest you do so without leaving your garbage behind. Littering is frowned upon. Also, it turns out this thing hacks up Reavers somethin fierce. As for your statement on it's use for defense or utility...You've clearly missed the entire reason this video was created. Again, thanks for stoppin by. The Air Lock's waitin for ya.
