if you want the hardening to work better you have to move it around really fast coz when its really hot the steam creates a steam pocket that slows the cooling and when you use the acid use bicarb to neutralize the acid hope it helps but loving it all so far

@@maddraugr4667This is pattern welded steel. “Damascus” is used as short hand because it looks very similar, but “true” historical Damascus steel is relatively rare and was not made the same way. In regular conversation you can still call this Damascus though. So don’t worry about it.
