I testify Elder Holland speaks the truth. I testify that people in my life has brought up past wounds just to make me feel guilty while I have moved on. But you know what? I forgive all of them. A lot of mistakes have been repeated. I forgive myself and all who have done this to me. I seek the mercy of the Lord for me and for all of us. There is only truth & happiness and my enduring journey to reach there. I testify that Jesus is the Christ, that Jesus is the Son of God, that His Father; our Heavenly Father, loves us very much. I testify the Church is true. I testify all things are true within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I needed this. I've been struggling. But I need to remember that I have been forgiven. That I am forgiven. that Jesus still cares for me. That God still loves me. I have faith I am forgiven, and that I'll be able to forgiven myself fully. Even if I repeatedly say 'I forgive myself'? It is a struggle. I know that I'll move on completely, but it's a progress.

@@JesusChristInspiration I would disagree. His voice and behavior reminds me of a manipulative man I know. In person he is great and inspiring but in private a completely different man. I'm not saying this about Holland specifically but his mannerism and the way he talks reminds me of the man I mentioned. Makes me wonder sometimes if these men who speak over the pulpit are different in private. Something I guess we will never know.

I just pray for all of the good, misunderstood people. I thank Heavenly Father and the Lord that I grew up being loved and appreciated for who I was, and I still am, although I am very broken. I am trying to pick up the pieces if others will be kind and loving, not harsh, demanding and critical.

Why not help, rescue and save, and accept, love, include, and put to work….rather than gossip, make a mess, ostracize and ruin a life? I am grateful 😇 for some people that I have known in life…my friends. I hope that I can keep going forward. Right now, I feel very alone in my struggles. I hope that I can find some source of comfort from the last trial. Sometimes I wish I had never helped those who avoided helping me or showing appreciation for anything I helped with. They seem to be doing well, but I am not. Where did I go wrong?

Elder Holland is an imperfect man. He is still an apostle of God. Don’t get caught up in one event, but rather look at the fruits of Elder Holland’s work. He is a man of God. I would invite you to pray and ask God with a sincere heart and real intent if Elder Holland is an apostle. I have done so and know that he is, along with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints being true.

@@samjones1856, In Acts 1 when Peter decided that they needed to replace Judas the criteria was that you had to have witnessed the resurrected Jesus. People who pretend to be apostles today do not meet the criteria. There are 12 gates to the New Jerusalem, and an apostle at each gate. Which one of the 12 do you think Jeff Holland is? Do you think he is going to be sitting on one of the real apostles' laps?

Sorry folks, but I can't find anywhere in the Scripture where we are to forgive ourselves. But it does says to come to the Lord so He can forgive us😮.
