This was so very helpful. I was molested as a five year old child by the teenage son of a family friend. As a little kid, I just 'loved' him until that day when he picked me up from kindergarten. For decades I carried so much guilt and shame. A few days after the incident I had nightmares and told my mother who dragged me back to the family's house and went crazy at the boy and family (in front of me) but never told Dad .... so more guilt and shame for me. Years later, the only person I told was my husband ... and then decades later, it manifested as stage III colon cancer in the area where I had been penetrated. I have survived my cancer and treatment and for many years have been 'seeking' ways to be at peace with my body, mind and Spirit, being frustrated with myself for always being so 'high strung' and 'too sensitive' - then just over a year ago, I discovered E.F.T. and all this angst that I have been carrying is finally lifting. I write this as a public comment not for sympathy or attention (so please, anyone reading this - no judgemental comments on the perpetrator or my own situation), I simply write this as part of my acknowledgement of what happened and the guilt and shame that I am gradually releasing. Thank you so much again, for your help.

It might be even harder to forgive yourself for what you did to yourself than forgiving others or forgiving yourself for what you did to others! It's a complicated topic, but tapping through it can hopefully deal with all the layers of it! My plan is to be persistent until going from 10 to 0 ( at 8 after the first round of tapping, yeah!)! Thank you so much Julie for your expertise and guidance!

Exactly what I needed this morning as I've been on this journey of forgiveness and healing. I find it much easier to forgive others than to forgive myself but I am turning this around and learning to give myself all the same love and grace that I extend to others. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

not being able to forgive your immature part of you or your weak part of you is like: being upset of having a weak leg that leads to your falls and having more pain.. 🦵 loving this weak leg and being understanding that it is not its intention for the falls and the general body pain... it just wishes to be stronger if you only were soft, trusting and caring with it.. be patient with you immature weak sides.. mother and father them.. teach them.. forgive them :)

Julie how do you know you deserve forgivenesd
@Julieschiffman5 ай бұрын
How do you know you are not? I believe we all deserve forgiveness on some level. Eve if someone else can’t forgive you, can you find a place in your heart to know can do it for you? If you don’t believe that, that’s where tapping comes in. To neutralize the emotions and thoughts about that. 🩷🙏😊
