I have had the merit to hear Rabbi Schusterman speak more than several times on his book and each time I become more clear of his important message. This time the take away is that during times of acute challenges I can call out to Hashem with anger but the real reason I am calling out is because I need him to be with me and hold my hand to see this situation through. Like now during these past three months since the horrific massacre in Israel, I have had some bouts of anger and confusion as to why Hashem can let this happen, but really what I’m crying to him about is that I can’t make it on my own and I need him to carry me through. My faith and belief that all will be good in the end keeps me steady during the storm. ❤

I was having a similar thought about my living mother. My mom is toxic to me. So we are estranged and I don’t want her back in my life as she was when we disconnected. I want her as an emotionally and mentally healthy person. I NEED my mom. But she can’t be that mom to me. It’s not where she is in her life journey. And this hurts so much. Because I have no one, but myself. I have been going through a very difficult time in my life emotionally and physically. I don’t feel like I am under any wing right now. I feel like I’m on a wind torn snow covered cliff edge, by myself. All alone. Very alone.
