I was charging my mother's A9+ and then it locked for whatever reason, despite me removing all the accounts and such as she has a Tab S7 as an upgrade, and you have saved my sanity! Thank you so darn much, my dude! Much appreciated! :D

Thanks for the informative video, I'm doing exactly same thing you have put on the TAB A8 video and here on my son's A8, can get to the system menu that you show, everything is there except for the factory reset option. What might be wrong? Any ideas?

Maybe it was removed by someone...then the second option is to flash the tablet with ODIN software

ok, i found it. you have to count 7 seconds power and volume down, then release for one second, and press power volume up! that's whats missing here!!!

This does not work on a secured device unless your tablet is switched off, else it always brings you back to the (locked) sign-in screen. So the tablet has to be switched off first - which you can't do yourself without password/screenpattern. So I let the battery run down (using maximum backlight), I plugged in and then pressed volume up + on/off-switch. Immediately after Samsung logo comes up, leave the on-switch and keep pressing volume-up. That way you end up in reboot menu. You still need google credentials to unlock after factory reset though.

If you’re on the A9, once the Samsung logo pops up you only hold volume up, not the power button.

You make sure tablet is switched off completely. If not, let battery run out. Then switch it on by pressing both the on/off switch as well as volume up. As soon as the Samsung logo appears on your screen, release the on/off switch but keep volume-up firmly pressed. That gets you into reboot menu. From there you can select factory reset which eventually allows you to chose a new password - but only if you can confirm your Google paswoord after log-in. If not - i'm not sure either l. Same. I have tried for over 20 hours total to start in recovery mode, literally step by step along with this and other videos. I hired a local technician work on it and it would not work for him either...and I had to pay him for his time. This is a brand new tablet that I set up and then did an update. I've not been able to use it ever since. It says my pin is incorrect - and it's not - and will not unlock no matter what. I spent a couple hours on the phone with Samsung and they were no help either and basically ended the call by saying it's not their problem and hung up on me. When initially setting up the tablet, I linked it to my Google account. Google finder has the device listed but it "cannot locate device" even when connected via wifi. SO FRUSTRATING

If you don't know it, search for "forgot my google account". If you can't recover your google account or password, then the next option would be to search " Your phone's / tablet's model name + FRP unlock ". And if you still can't do it, you will need a special paid service. Good luck ;)
