Hey all. I found this fix, but for whatever reason my tablet would skip over the recovery mode and just start up again. I did find a method where you plug it in your PC and try the same. It worked for me. Just thought I'd share it here for those in the same pickle I was. Great video though! Straight to the point.

Maybe a tad late, but you need to switch to the power+volume up combo as soon as the screen goes black. Count to 10 then swap.

1)Hold Volume Down and Power for 10 sec 2) Then switch to Volume Up and Power for about 10 seconds 3) Release Power keep holding Volume Up 4) Should be inside the menu, use Power as the Ok button and Volume Buttons as the arrow buttons.

if you dont have the gmail details or a way to recover them you are pretty stuck and its almost worth selling the device for spare parts

Took me about an hour. Finally found this video. For me it needed to be plugged into a computer and it had to be usb-a to the usb-c of the Samsung. It didn’t work when both ends were type c This video was the first to give proper button instruction tho

IMPORTANT : Now the Hard Reset process has changed. To reset your Tablet, you need to connect your Tablet to the computer with a cable ! 1. Plug the tablet to the computer 2. Then, when the charging sign appears on the screen, press the Power Button & the Volume Up Button, at the same time 3. Follow the instruction of this video. Your tablet will start the reset, the Samsung Logo will appear for maybe 10 minutes, so don't worry about it, then the installation screen will open. You can use your tablet by entering the e-mail address previously entered on the tablet.

I tried this method on two of my tabs. Successful for one, but unable to reach the factory reset screen *itself on the second one. But what worked for me later was entering incorrect passwords many times in a row. I reckon I did around 10 times in a row, and it showed me a warning that if it's done a couple of times more, all the data will be erased and the system will automatically go into factory reset mode. Voila! It worked for me. It took around 10-15 minutes in total for me. Thanks.
