I did, and android icon showed but afterwards another android came up laying down with a red warning sign right above it, why was this?

Same happened to me press the power button and hold for a couple seconds and it worked for me. Hope this helps

If the photos are saved in memory card. Then you see save. If not. It will erase as well.
