I know! I have found so many different RPGs and board games that have totally blown my mind during my "research." I wish I would have gotten into gaming just a few years earlier. Thanks for watching!!

Yes, there was a straight to video sequel in 1998, and they turned it into a musical!?! It was called 'Timmy to the Rescue' and it lacked everything that made the original awesome. Thank you, I will definitely do more in the future.

I had no idea The Keep had a bookcase game. I love the book and the movie! Read and see both if you haven't. The soundtrack is incredible as well. Thanks for sharing!

I loved this! I was lucky enough to run across the Willow RPG board game at a yard sale summer before last. It was missing a fair amount of material, but still quite the gem.

Wow! Is it the one from Tor Books from 1988? I recently came across that in my "research" and was blown away from the awesomeness. Thanks for watching!!

@@MySideoftheLaundryRoom the only game I own that I think is way better is the TSR Bullwinkle & Rocky RPG Game from 1988. It’s a hoot and even came with plastic glove puppets. It’s a comprehensive love letter to the original show and I highly recommended it.

Also I’ve recently added he-man to List of things of stuff I cover I my channel . The first he-man related figures I opened on my channel were masters of wwe universe roddy piper and ultimate warrior. This led to phrase On my channel it all starts with piper . As the first wwe super stars figure I opened was also Roddy piper .

I just got to this video. Was late to the party because it is maple season in the northeast, have been boiling in my free time. I do not really recall any of these as a kid, but my parents would have only purchased the common “normal” board games like Monopoly etc. I saw Secret of Nimh at the drive ins, but could not tell you the plot anymore. Wondering if the DC role playing game you had was like a Marvel one I had back in the day. It was probably a TSR product, and had little card board three sided cut outs you folded and glued together to make as figure representatives of all the Marvel heroes and villains available to play as in the game. You could place these on any maps in your game (like the dungeon maps in in D and D). The bigger characters like colossus, the Hulk etc were taller cards. I used em as action figures because we didn’t have any Marcel ones except for secret wars which were off the shelves at this point.

I had the Dragon Slayer game (the 81 SPI, which had nicer components than the TSR printing). As I recall, it was a simple, reasonably entertaining game. Nothing very special, although I wish I held on to it. My favorite game based on a movie from that general era is the 1978 Dawn of the Dead board game. Even now, it's not half bad.

Would not mind having the Keep game. The book , of course , was better than the film but I liked that too.

Would've drove my parents (more) Nuts trying to get them to play those games with me if I had those as a kid. The Keep was a Pretty Good but Very Flawed Movie! It could stand a remake. Its Effects are Killer Cool for 80s physical analog stuff!
