There's entirely distinct group of East Asian, Tibeto-Burman descent like Magars, Gurungs, Tamangs. Then there are people of Pahari (Indo Aryan/Iranian) descent - Bahuns, Chhetris etc. There are other groups like Shakya, Tharu also. It's a homogeneous population and the language we speak is Nepali- an Indo Aryan language. Broadly, Newars facial features are mix of Indo Aryan and Tibetan. Khas (Pahari) look like Himachalis etc. Tamangs/Rai look mostly East Asian (Japanese, Korean). Gurungs have Burmese facial features. My interpretation is - These people may have been from the frontier tribes of original Aryans, hence they got a large chunk of Tibetan/East Asian DNA(eventhough they claim to marry just within community). This makes them look more like Turks(Central Asians) with few exceptions who look more Armenian/Caucasoid. The more centrally located Aryan tribes would have been the Nuristanis, Kalash, Pamiris(various tribes), other Dards(excluding Kashmiris) and some Pashtoons(around Panjshir valley regions) to some extent. They retain more "Caucasoid" features, due to more central location in the Dardistan valley. Nuristanis and Pamiris look so Slavic that Russians exploring Hindu Kush once thought they must be stranded Russian tribes. As far as Drukpas, I would say they are 40% Aryan, 10% plains Indian and 50% east Asian.

And since majority of modern Kashmiris muslims are converts from local religions, the Kashmiris have significant admixtures from more Indic tribes. In contrast, the more isolated places in the Dardistan valley, which were hard to reach, have remained relatively "pure" While Kashmiris may still have more "Aryan" DNA than most of Indian/Pakistani people, the amount is still comparable to the average North Indian/Pakistani. Which is why Kashmiris look the least Dardic among the Dards
