Still the most intimadating defensive player i have ever watch play for the steelers. The new steeler fans may think they no what an intimadating player is for a steelers d but the closest one since is James harrison and even he doesnt compare to The lloyd.

I showed this video to some of my students, they were impressed, they had never heard of him. I wonder how much longer and better he would have been without the injuries. I loved the "I wasn't hired for my disposition" shirt.

Not forgotten by any means. I was growing up when he played and he is the reason I still love defense today. He brought is every play and the other team had to game plan around him. I know somewhere there is a retired NFL player that cringes when he hear the name Lloyd and starts looking over his shoulder.

He said back in 1995 he was going to knock Dan Marino into next week, and then HE went out and DID hit Marino hard!! Marino was the premodonna before Brady. Marino objected to the hit but it was legal. What I wouldn't do to see Greg Lloyd KNOCK TOM BRADY into a wheelchair!!!

Greg played football in college for the same school I played at, Fort Valley State University! This school has a history of having one of the most dominating defenses in D2 and has sent some of the best to the NFL, Tyrone Poole (Patriots), Eddie “The Hitman” Anderson (Raiders), Peppi Zellner (Cowboys) and Nick Harper (Colts). But Lloyd definitely was the baddest and the nastiest on the field!

He's forgotten by me or any othet legit football fan. He's one of the best Steeler LB's of all time. Lambert, Ham, Russel, Green, Gildon, Brown, Kirkland, Holmes, Emmons, Harrison, Bell, Porter. Some great players. Lloyd was easily the most undersized, but he was also the biggest hitter. Could rush passer with the best of them. But GREAT in coverage. Underrated player
